The original text was produced as a wall text for an installation (Catalyst Arts 12/2019) about chaotic attractors and Hyperobjects. This was further developed and, alongside the video ‘Unbearable Burden Still Sought,’ plays with a SciFi conceit about a posthuman, evolutionary schism. The modified text is incorporated here into four sections of a larger drawing (340 x 30 cm) which imagines the rhythms and transformations that constitute complex systems (see Platform Arts 11/2019, ‘Eco-evo-devo and the Hypercycles of an Extended Self,’ for further contextualisation).
